| Hearing problem, muffle in left ear
I will try to make this short. Basically, about 4-5 weeks ago I started having this problem with my left ear.
I would wake up, and things would sound distant, after about an hour of being awake it would sound like there was always a semi truck running not far, it had a deep tone that when there was no background noise, it felt louder.
A few days after it started I got a minor cold, coughing, a little stuffy/runny nose, not much to worry about, took dayquil/nyquil for a week and it went away. But the ear did not stop.
Its gotten better, it now happens on random days, I wake up and for about 6 hours of being up the same left ear sounds weird. As the day goes on, it starts feeling normal.
Its very odd that not only are the days totally random, but it stops doing it after 5-7 hours into my day. By night time, my hearing is absolutely perfect again, I dont understand it. I know I should see a doctor but Im in a tight money situation so I cant really afford it.
If anyone could give me some ideas on what this might be I would greatly appreciate it, and if the responses I get are serious enough I will find a way to get to a doctor.
