Hearing static sounds in one ear

About four days or so I ago while I was sick I went to blow my nose and my right ear popped pretty severely, and continued to do so through the day. Since then I've been hearing static in my ear whenever I listen to loud music or loud noises in general. I haven't had any actual trouble hearing, but the static 'pulses' along with whatever I'm listening to and when I'm sitting in a quiet area it pulses along with my heart beat and occaisionally I can hear a tapping sound along with the static. Does anyone know what might be causing this?
