Hi All:

Last week I posted with questions about the EP study that my husband will be having.

We went to see the Electrophysiologist this past Wednesday. Before he does the EP study, hubby will have the tilt table test to see if they can reproduce the condition of him passing out.

If that is negative, on December 30th, he will have the EP study done, and (depending on results) will have the Event Monitor implanted.

Seems to me, the bad thing about the event monitor, is that he would have to pass out again so the monitor could record what is going on. But, the good thing would be that we would then know what is causing him to pass out.

I'm still researching the event monitor. Doc says hubby will press a button if he is feeling "weird" for the monitor to pick it up. My husband has no fore-warning of fainting. Then the doc said not to worry, because if the monitor detects "something" it will start recording on it's own. Still researching that.

(Reminder): My husband (age 47) has passed out 3 times in one year.

Has anybody had any experience with the Event Monitor? (Or anything we should know about the tilt table test)?
