| Re: Zoloft question
One of the effects of taking antidepressants/antianxiety drugs is that they calm you down, and one of the side effects will be your heart beating slower. If you are dependent on them to manage your anxiety, when you go off them, you may find your heart beating faster when you are feeling anxious compared to when you were on the drugs. How long this may persist is anyone's guess, as each of us are different. On the other hand, you may not have any withdrawal symptoms at all, in which case it would be safe to go off them.
What I'm saying here is not medical opinion and should not be a substitute for one! Please speak to your doctor about going off Zoloft and whether you should be weaning off them slowly rather than quit cold turkey.
Hope you do well!
