Question coq10

anyone else take this? i read alot of good stuff about it but im still afraid to take it since its naturally occuring in the body. its mostly found in the heart muscle. say i take it long term, will this cause my body to start producing less of coq10 naturally at some point????im afrad if i take it a few years then stop, it may be bad. im 18 and have LOTS of pvc's everyday along with heart disease in my family. thanks, kim
*i also take magnesium 500mgs, fish oil, vitamin b complex

Re: coq10

In my opinion, I dont think it would hurt anything to take the supplement. There is lots of researched published on the benefits of CO Q10. Yes our bodies should produce it naturally, especially someone as young as you. But when we eat processed foods and smoke (do you smoke?) and breathe in air pollution, etc, it causes our bodies to function less effectively. Thus, the reason for supplementation. 100mg of coq10 per day is a normal dose, but for someone as young as you, I would only take the 30mg gel caps.

Good luck !

I take a form called Q-Gel. I used to work for a bio tech company and came across this information from a scientist. If you are worried and you shouldn't be, about taking this go to search and put in Tishcon. They make the q-Gel
which is more absorbable then most q-10. It is very good for the heart!
It is very costly, but I order it from Swanson Vitamins and wait for the sales.
I haven't taken it the last few months as I have been unemployed. I haven't noticed anything drastic. Good Luck

Smile Re: coq10

thanks for your replies....today i started taking it, i bought 50mg caps so ill be taking 50mgs a day. the reason why i wasnt too sure at first was because my ep doctor said i dont need it until im 60?? that there isnt really any solid proof it does any good. but what i read about it is pretty promising, hopefully ill be able to escape heart disease when im older.
