Took a hot hot shower tonight... got out... BP 137/97 ... its stayed this way for 30 minutes... it has dropped SOME.

History... christmas went to hospital because I thought I was having a heart attack at 23 years old, turns out they keep me... run EKG,stress test ect ect, nothin.. all normal... echo and all.. normal.

Have had unexplained weakness, was told I had an ulcer and GERD, but why this BP? even with high BP.. why?

Anyways.. back to it.. normal after a super hot shower for 137/97? even 30 minutes after?

Been in pain also today, quite a bit. Its still there, before I got in shower it was 120/70 Now its staying 137/99 120/97 setting

do u have chest pains?? is that why u thought u were having a heart attack??
i dont even take really hot showers...it makes my heart speed up for awhile after.

Nonono.. Im sorry.. Im not having chest pain JUST the high BP, it worries me being up that high just after a hot shower, what Im asking is.. is that normal 45 minutes after a hot showerr for it to raise you from 120/70 pre shower to 136/100 after? and then SLOWLY come back down over the period of an hour and a half or longer sometimes?

Goin back the 7th of next month to doc and Im betting Im going to get put on BP meds, if so.. wich can I ask for? Im 23 guys/gals... kinda scared to get the wrong thing.. I know I dont want norvask after seeing what it does to my dad at 65.

Any advice that I need to take with me before I enter this new world of high BP? or fix it rather?
