Everyone, man or beast, has a circadian rhythm, or internal clock, which has an effect on the functioning of their endocrine system. The endocrine system pumps hormones into the body, and these hormones can cause heart rhythm problems.
For instance, the Pineal gland becomes more active
at night and starts pumping more melatonin, which helps with one's ability to sleep, but also has other effects.
For more info, research "circadian rhythm" or Pineal Gland.
