| Re: P.a.d.
Although I haven't had or been diagnosed with PAD, I have had some of the symptoms. I have small vessel disease caused by arteriosclerosis. The small arteries in my legs impede proper blood flow to my calf muscles, resulting in claudication (crampy ache in the calves, especially going up an incline), which is the main symptom, or one of the symptoms of PAD. PAD is blockage of one of the major arteries in one or both legs.
You can have an ultrasound done to verify proper blood flow in your legs, if you are concerned. I had one of these and it takes about 10 minutes. If you had diagnosable PAD, you couldn't walk uphill very far, w/o stopping to rest your legs (I think).
