"Heart Failure" is a very misleading name for heart disease that consists of a "weakened heart". One can have mild heart failure, otherwise known as a mildly weakened heart, or one can have advanced heart failure, which is a severely weakened heart. Some people have heart failure involving a weakened top portion of their heart, the atrium. Others have the much more serious form of heart failure involving a weakened bottom portion of the heart, the ventricle. Others might have their entire heart weakened.
The important thing about a weak heart, is to get on the proper medicine, and make changes to one's lifestyle so that the heart does not continue to get worse. Blood pressure must be gotten under control, if too high, and the heart's ability to pump well has got to be restored as much as possible.
