Preparing for surgery. What do we need?
Hey, my 80 year old dad is having open surgery to repair an aneurism in his aorta just below the kidney. I imagine it will be a sizeable incision. He's had two previous heart surgeries years ago.
I had back surgery this summer and am aware of some things that a person needs after surgery to make life easier such as a grabber, a raised toilet seat, shower chair, soap on a rope, slip on shoes, loose clothes that don't bind at all... What am I missing? We need to get him set up.
My brother bought him a memory foam mattress which helps, and put his phone right next to his chair and got him a new larger tv and he has full cable. My brother will be staying with him to care for him afterwards.
