| Re: mitro valve regurgatation?
Hi, it is a back flow of blood between the pumping chamber. It means that the valve does not close properly which allows blood to leak back. Usually, no treatment is needed if the regurgitation is mild, but if the leak is severe, a surgery to replace the valve is needed. Your doctor might tell you whether you need antibiotics before any dental procedures, surgery. It is to prevent infection of the heart valves. So are you going back to your cardiologist?
