I am a 44 yr old male and have had PVC's for the last 3yrs. I saw the doctor who set me up with stress tests, angiogram, etc to make sure no structural problems existed (which were all clean, btw). In my case, I can feel the 'thump' many times when the PVC occurs, but I also became obsessed with taking my pulse to determine when they happened. When I told the doctor (after all tests were negative for other things) that I was having a lot of PVCs, he asked me how I knew. I told him I was taking my pulse, and his immediate reaction was to STOP doing that. In my case it was just increasing my anxiety, which tended to make the PVCs worse. I have also noticed that I feel them more at night when I sleep on my left side than on my right side. I am not currently on any meds for this and am doing fine (PVCs and all...)
