I have never missed a dose and was wondering say if i forgot to take one but did like 3 hours later. is there any concern to missing it a few hours like that? i always got it the day i was supposed to take it just a little later, should i have a set time to take it everyday? its happened a quite a few times, no more than 4 hours i think. i have read that if you miss a dose you could suffer some what.

I think the insert says if you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible - unless your next dose is within 12 hours. The extended form of Toprol (XL) allows some flexibility in dose time, so a few hours after your usual time shouldn't be a problem.

I have heart failure, age onset I guess as I am 76.
Am on Coreg Rx, but can't get worked up on dose as it lowers my pulse too much.
