for awhile now i've been having a dull pain in my chest that comes and goes. It seems to be centralized just under the mid to left side of my rib cage, and only appears when i'm sitting down being lazy. I also have had some heart palpitations, which I am blaming on excessive caffiene. Sometimes the palpitations cause a feeling of pressure in my chest which goes away after a few seconds. I'm a very active person and there's no history of heart problems in my family. I'm wondering if i should get myself looked at? Or maybe the caffiene is related to the dull pains i'm feeling?
There are so many risk factors besides family history that can cause problems with the 'ole ticker. In fact, many people don't have a history of heart problems, but due to life-styles, poor eating habits etc. they do. I must agree, as a heart patient myself, better safe than sorry as they always say.
