I was diagnoised with WPW (Wolf-Parkenson-White) Syndrome in 2003. I've had two abalations since, and am doing a lot better. My question is to those who have WPW -- I want to start working out at the Gym again, and the only thing my doctor told me was to do "low impact" work.
The guy at the gym wants to know how many bpm my heart is allowed to withstand so he'll know what to put me on (i.e., stair climber, and bike). My GI (I also have Crohns Disease) and GP say I have to drop 10 pounds, because it's starting to stress out my heart. I'm not over-weight (I'm 5'9, and weigh 128lb), but since the Crohns causes my weight to fluctuate so drastically, my safe zone is between 115 - 120. I'm wanting to get back to the 115 zone, for my health and for my job as a model (which I'm going to lose if I don't drop the weight).
Any ideas of where my BMP should be at? I figured I'd ask around on the internet before bugging my cardio. He's pretty busy, since his schedule got thrown off after Hurricane Charley blew through (I live in Punta Gorda, lol, if that makes much difference).
