| Pacemaker
Hi everyone,
My father who is 80, and has been hospitalized over the last month a couple times with a mild case of heart failure, then a mini bleed stroke caused by the coumadin he is taking, has just been given a pacemaker. He also has sleep apnea, and uses a bipap breathing mask at night. Since he got home from the hospital, he wakes up often at night and can't seem to get a good night's sleep. This was happening in the hospital too, but I know that it's impossible to sleep well there either. But now that he is home, he seems fidgety and unable to stay asleep. I've read about the pacemaker and I don't see that there is anything mentioned about this as a side effect, so maybe it's something else? Any ideas or anyone who experiences this interrupted sleep out there? Thanks.
