I have been experiencing something a bit odd in my chest for the last three days. This is sort of hard to explain as I have no pain. It actually feels as if thought their might be a lot of air in my chest. The first few times it happened it really scared me, but now it has been happening very often. I am not sure if you would call this fluttering or not. When this happens it only last approximately ten seconds. Does anyone know what this could be? I am 40 years old with know prior history of heart problems. I was born with a heart murmur but my new primary doctor recently told me that it can only be heard when I don't take deep enough breaths. I had an echo about a two years ago, and was told that it came back normal. The reason why my doctor ordered the echo was because I had developed a bad case of pitting edema in both legs and feet. The edema recently returned about a month ago. But my doctor told me to cut down on my salt intake and the edema could be caused to my mobility as well. If anyone could tell me not to worry about this strange feeling in my chest, I would be so happy.....
