Question extra beats

hi
yesterday i had lots of what felt like 'extra beats' throughout the day. sometimes it was just one and other times a few together. i was wondering if something i'd eaten had made them worse (i get them most days but usually only a couple of times or so - yesterday it was just nearly all the time & i kept getting dizzy) i hadn't drank any coffee or anything but my mum said it could have been soy sause which i'd had the day before. is that possible? does anyone else who gets these have certain things that make it worse? is it normal to get suddenly dizzy/lightheaded - sometimes i could feel it was extra beats but other times it just felt 'wrong' in my chest like it wasn't beating properly (dont really no how to describe it.)
