Re: whats inducible ischemia???
Ischemia ( in greek isch=resteriction & hema = blood) is restriction of blood supply to an organ, due to reasons such as coronary artery disease. Ischemia causes hypoxia (shortage of oxygen supply) and damage/dysfunction to the organ/tissues.
Inducible ischmemia means ischemia occurs if the person is provoked-say by anactivity, but disappears once the activity is stopped. Ex-ischemia happening on a treadmill test.
