Are the symptoms worse when you are lying down? Acid reflux worsens when lying down, and you do feel it in your throat. Have you tried any otc antacids? My 19 yo son is having these sx, He is seeing a gi doc this afternoon. He has been on rx meds, but this pain still continues, and he just cant eat. Dropping weight like crazy. If I were you I would see the family doc, and just check this out. Why be miserable when there are many meds out there that could help.
