3 days ago i started to feel this constant pain near my heart..its hard to tell actaully where its coming from..but it travelled to my left arm (so i was really worried) so i decided to go on a long run and it felt good! nothing wrong with my heart at all..but still after my heart felt funny..it feels like its skipping and feels VERY weak..and of course hurts..so i went to ask the doctor and he said that if exercise didnt cause my heart to go crazy, it had nothing to do with it, he said i pulled a muscle (i dont believe that)..my heart feels weak..its sometimes hard to breath..and it hurts!
A 'pulled muscle" sounds like a good candidate for the cause of your pain. The type of pain you would be concerned about is pain with exertion and the more exertion the more pain. However, I am not medically trained, so if it not substantially improved within a week (or is getting worse), I would be back at the doctors requesting an EKG. Hope things resolve OK.
I had severe pain in my upper back, neck, and down my L. arm and went to the ER. My EKG happened to be abnormal, too. The dr. thought I was headed for a heart attack and I was admitted for the 3 day stay. (I am under a cardio's care, but not for heart disease.) It turned out to be herniated discs and other probs in my neck. Also, costochondritis can feel like a heart attack and I have read of some feeling pain in their arm.
