| Heart Irregularites/Oxygen Deficit
About 3 weeks ago, I began having an increase in what had been mild heart irregularities. At my sister-in-law's I was able to hear skips/extra beats with her stethoscope which in a sense was reassuring that something WAS going on with the feelings I was experinecing in my chest.
I had several intense bouts of these that were very scary, called a doctor friend who came over one day and gave me attenulol for short period, as needed due to circumstances that these came on... had started new supplements which had apparently thrown me into toxic dumping (I have lyme disease). I was feeling quite ill on top of heart irreg's.
I only took pills a few times, they seemed to make my heart rate stay too low for extended period after taking them... feeling very lightheaded, etc.
Now, after this initial 3 week period began, I haven't had a severe irreg episode since last Thurs. Current status is as follows: I have a pretty much contant sense of lack of oxygen when I stand, to menial tasks, etc. and feel lightheaded at these times. Also, I have been trying to find a pattern and it seems that by late moring, my resting heart feels rather normal but if I lay down on the couch, it gets loud and the beat is uncomfortable/too strong, I think speeded up some. And when I go to bed at night, this is very much the case... last night, I'd wake with shoulder pain (frozen shoulder) and heart was loud, feeling of adrenaline in body. I finally tried to prop on a buch of pillows which is very difficult because I'm sleeping on side to rest shoudler on propped pillows... anyway... just wondering if anyone has comments on latter condition or transition from heart irreg's TO latter condition.
I have that sense now, (along with some throat tightness and slight chest pain, from breathing) and if today is like yesterday, within the next hour or two, my heart beat will be more normal... quieter... why it would be taking so long to adjust to sitting, having distress with laying, etc is quite puzzling.
I just wanted to run it by heart folks seperate of tick borne issues... appreciate your time in responding. cj
