heart problems and BCP
After about 14 years on BCP (except a brief time while getting prego and having a baby) I was urged to go off them forever after I recently had a Transcathedar procedure.

Anyone here seen improvement after going off BCP with their heart problems?

What is BCP stand for? and what is Transcathedar procedure? I never heard of them. Please details.

fotomom,

Birth Control pills are usually contraindicated for people with heart disease. So if you've had angioplasty and stent, that's heart disease.

Going off the BCP won't reverse the arterial condition but will allow you to retain the status quo better.

Did the transcatheter procedure free you of symptoms, I presume angina?
