Re: High Blood pressure when STANDING?
Whenever you change positions, like from sitting to standing, it's normal for your heart rate to increase. And when your heart rate increases it's normal to feel a faster, stronger beat.
As for the blood pressure, I'm not sure. I tested my blood pressure while sitting, then standing. My top number was a bit lower when I stood up, but the bottom number went up. Your blood pressure reading was a little high, but don't forget your blood pressure is always changing. You may get a higher reading if you're stressed, if you recently consumed food or drink high in sodium, or after exercising, just to name a few possibilities.
I'm gonna give you some tips that may help your heart palpitations. These are some things that have helped me.
1) Avoid caffeine as much as possible--tea, cola, chocolate.
2) Eat 4-5 small meals a day.
3) Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables.
4) Drinks lots of water.
5) Take a multi vitamin daily.
6) Keep active.
