I have been taking metoprolol for quit a while now but have had to stop suddenly due to lack of funds to pay for doctor,s visits . Now for the past few nights when i lie down and turn on my side , my heart begains to flutter very fast , it does not matter which side i turn on it will flutter but if i lie straight on my back it does not flutter .
What is causeing this ?
Should i be going to the emergency room and staying overnight so that they can monitor it and see what is going on .?
I know that when you are on the beta blocker you are not suppose to stop suddenly , could this be a side effect of stopping suddenly or what ?
I have went several times to the ER and they only take my pulse and check my oxygen which is totally fine and then they send me home saying i have nothing more then gas or heartburn , but i have had gas and heartburn before and neither of those two do this to my heart and make it flutter like it is doing . They say it does not hurt me to stop the beta blocker , etc but from what i have read online and heard it does hurt one to stop the beta blocker .
I have tried several times to get help with my meds but have been deneied by both the state and these so called safty health plans , etc , they say that my asthma and tachycardia are not covered by them etc .
Should i be worried or am i just paranoid

? I am only 33 and have had 1 heart attack already and want to live not die .
