well, after a triple bypass operation my mums man gave up smoking and even cut right down on the drink, but since the op months ago he pretty much been feeling worse, he has had difficulty breathing at times and sleeps alot more.

any advice or help would be appreciated

Same thing happen to me, (about the feeling worse and shortness of breath I mean).
Almost a year after bypassX5 and heart repair they had to do a cath. and put in three stents. They told me because they ran out of time during the surgery, they only repaired the major arteries and knew I would have to have more done.
I hope that his problem is something easy to fix, so that he can regain his strength and finally get on with his life, (minus the smokes and drink of course).

ennie im not clued up on the technical terms, could you explain what a cath is and also stents ?

so its possible they havent repaired all his arteries, is that what your saying ?

It was so in my case. And they said I will have to have it done again.
This is not a technical definition for them, just my definition:
A cath. is a heart catheterization procedure where they can go in through an artery in the leg or arm and look for blockages. They try to ballon them open when possible, and when necessary place a stent (a mesh tube that goes inside an artery) to keep that area of artery open to increase blood flow. It is an over night stay in the hospital in most cases.
