Does anyone have SVT? - Heart Disorders Message Board

Hi. My son has this and i would like to hear from anyone else that has this condition. He is 3 yrs old and was diagnosed when he was 2 weeks old.

I have SVT. A bunch of people here do. Is your son on medication or are they discussing ablation or anything?

I've SVT too. I've been fixed 20 years ago. Cardio said the whole lot is called "wpw". Now it comes back with A-Fib. Again the whole lot is called "wpw" again. Anyone knows what it means? Is your son's SVT called "wpw" too?

I have not heard of wpw. My son is on propranolol. He will need an operation when he is older but will need it sooner if he keeps going into svt.His heart has been up and down today to the point where i've wandered if i should take him to gp but it has now slowed down.

I was just diagnosed with SVT a few weeks ago. I am not on meds yet, I'm scheduled for an ECG in just over a week. I've been having it since HS, but the palpatations were so infrequent and short, that it didn't bother me so I never had it formally diagnosed, but recently I've been getting them multiple times a day and it's been bothersome.
