| Re: Swollen feet and maybe abdomen?
I don't believe you are having heart failure......swelling alone with no other symptoms like: Shortness of Breath, Unable to sleep without propping up on pillows, Unusual Fatigue, Arrhythmia, Dry Cough, Also, a productive cough of white sputum or blood tinged sputum, Purplish colored finger nails and lips from not getting enough oxygen.
Too much sodium or standing too long can cause Edema. Are you taking any new meds.?
If you think you need to get checked out, I think it would be worth it to put your mind at ease and make any adjustments to bring down the swelling.
Try elevating your legs and wear loose fitting socks and shoes (comfortable, supporting shoes), also, support stockings or support knee highs may help with swelling.
If you were in A-fib for 5 months, you would have been in the ER in a matter of a week or less. I'm kinda confused, did you get a definite diagnosis of A-fib? Again, make sure you are checked by a cardiologist if you need to.
Hope you feel better soon. Penk
