Red face Painful Palpitation And Gasping For Air Please help!!!!!!

Hello everybody, this is something that has me so very worried so I thought that maby somebody had similar experiences out there and can help me with this, this past november, I started with a very horrible feeling, I feel that I am skipping a heart beat, it is a terrible feeling because not only it feels like my heart stops for a second, but it is painful too even it only last about a second, is horrible, and it happens at any time of the day, I do not have to be doing anything special or being stresed or anything it comes
just out of the blue.
Also the other thing that is worring me so much also is that so many times I would get very fast palpitations at night and I can barely get any sleep I would only sleep a couple of hours and when I wake up I will have very fast palpitations and I would be gasping for air, and that scares me so very much, because I do not want to stop breathing during my sleep, so please if anybody has similar symptoms please let me know what it is , I would appreciate it .
Thanks, ncxque_dueleasi

Is it actually painful or does it feel more like your heart stops for a few seconds and you feel like you need to cough to get it back to a next beat?

It is painful and I do not have to cough to have another palpitation it is a very weird feeling but very scary, because I can feel that it stops even for a second, and it is painful.

Yeah I get that too. I'm 27 years old and I think it's something to do with hormones. It happens when I know my hormones are out of whack. It does feel like your heart stops for a split second but with a painful thump

Get yourself to a Dr. pronto! I wouldn't waste anymore time about it. Why haven't you already been to see a cardiologist or your PCP?
