How can you differ the two?.. Im getting a bit worried here.. For the past few days or week I should say Ive had a funny like pain in my chest along with acid reflux. Plus I know this is kinda gross , but I have felt the need to burp more and my left arm hurts a little like in the bone , but then again its always hurt.. Im wondering if Im having tiny heart attacks or what.
I'm 31 w/ a thyroid condition that is undertreated.. Im overweight and Im sure with a sky high cholesterol which goes back to the thyroid..
This is kinda wrecking havoc on my nerves.. Im wondering if i should go to the dr ?.. Or am I taking a small matter and making it into a bigger matter? Take Care

you should see a cardiologist. It is difficult sometimes to distinguish between esophogeal and a digestion disorder from heart pain. One can have both conditions and you have a few high risk conditions that can cause a heart problem.

Sometimes a heart attack can be very subtle with symptoms and many including myself had a silent heart attack (no symptoms) and shocked later to learn there is heart problem.

Go out and buy some OTC Zantac...75 mg. I believe. Take the Rx dose of 150 mg. (2 pills) morning and night.

IF you are having acid reflux pains, this dose of 4 pills a day will end the pain in a couple days.

If it DOESN'T then the next most likely source of the pain you describe is cardiac and schedule an appointment with your doctor.

IF the pain is POSITIONAL, it hurts more or less when you bend this way or that, then the pain is most likely related to your ribcage or upper back.

IF the Zantac works, you should schedule a blood test for antibodies to H. pylorii...you want to look for ulceration.

Hi everyone sorry for the delay.. I went to the Dr.. I told him what was going on.. He didnt feel like it was my heart.. He also check my cholesterol
the bad was 66 the good was 44 " a little low" so he said.. total was 102 or 120 i forgot now dang it..
Any ways he gave me some nexuim "sp?" to try for acid..

A 44 HDL is VERY fine when coupled with an LDL as low as yours (66.) REJOICE!

Now, IF the Nexium works, then you really want to have a screening for H.Pylorii. If you have an infection you don't want to settle for just treating the symptoms.

I am confused: in your first post you said you had "sky high cholesterol" but the second post has numbers that are remarkably low. Are you taking a statin?
