Rather the other way 'round. They examined Parkinson's patients and found they had lower cholesterol.
Those on statins actually tended to have LESS Parkinson's Disease.
I think it was an interesting anomaly but really didn't signify much...several progressive diseases of aging show lowered serum cholesterol, most notably terminal cancer.
