low blood pressure and heart rate is this a concern? - Heart Disorders Message Board

over the last year my drs have been watching my blood pressure and heart rate drop, it has always been low but now my pressure is at 100/50 and my heart rate is only 50, should i be concerned? i also have animeia, constant feelings of cold, and chills, nasua, extreem dizzyness ocasonial blackouts (not to often only when i stand up really fast) chest pressure, and limb numbness. i'm sechduled to see a cardiologest, i was just cerious how fast i should go see them. please tell me what you think.

Hi Danibeth:

You read all the time that the lower your blood pressure and pulse are, the less work load on your heart, that is unless you are having symptoms such as the ones you have mentioned. Your list includes most of the symptoms that should prompt you to see your cardiologist as soon as possible. Few people can get away with such low numbers without having symptoms, for example, very fit athletes. Good luck

thanks for the tip, i've done some reading since and after reading your comment and comparing it with other articals i think i'll move that date up from febuary to some time this month.
