I feel that I benefitted from cardiac rehab but I would caution that it needs to be taken seriously. In my group there were four or five men who spent a good deal of time standing around talking.... and they had a standing date to go out for coffee and Krispy Kremes after each session.

I worked hard since my wife told me that if I died on her she would not take me on our planned trip to Scotland... and I just love single-malt.

One note, as soon as you have learned as much as you need to manage your own continuing food and exercise regimen, check out and get a membership in a health club. It's a lot less expensive and makes your schedule flexible.
