| Tell me everything you know about cardiac ablation?
My dad finally found a cardiologist who was ready to take action and help with his problems. He ended up putting in a couple of stents, I guess to clear a blockage, during an angiogram procedure.
As for the Afib, the doc told my parents that my dad is an excellent candidate for this cardio-ablation technique, which is supposed to be minimally invasive, much like the angiogram.
I've read about it, and it sounds a little freaky, so I'm a little nervous. But can anyone tell me what they know about it? Do you think it's a decent technique to help an Afib patient? Does it prevent future arrythmias pretty well?
I just want my dad to feel better, because it's so hard for me to see this once very strong and healthy man to be feeling so crappy all of the time. The doc told my parents that now that the stents are in, that he should be feeling A LOT better, because the blockage is GONE. That makes sense to me.
I'm so glad they found this cardiologist who was really willing to go in there and take some action and make some kind of progress! We've been going back and forth to the ER and in the hospital over the last 2 years with this, and every test they did came back that he was perfectly fine! But we knew he wasn't because of his symptoms. So, this is just such a relief to finally, FINALLY find a doc who was willing to go that extra step to make sure that something would be done about the problem. I know my mom is grateful as well, and my whole family feels a lot of relief that he's finally on the right track!
