Just wondered if anyone else out there has experienced a heart rate of 75 then a second later jump to 215 to 230 for 15 seconds to minutes. I have had it for a few years especially after to much caffeine or stress but it can happen out of nowhere. Have seen a cardiologist he did a EEG or EKG can't remember which one is right but it was normal. My stress test came up normal but the 24 hour monitor registered a resting HR of 75 to 90 and while sleeping had jumped to 185 and came back down. Now lets also understand that my HR exercising has to be monitored because it can reach 200 easily and I have to stay under 180 or it is hard to bring my HR back under control. I do get Palps...irregular heartbeats....and it likes to skip alot to the point of dizziness (fun times.....fun times). They cannot find anything wrong...they believe it is a miss fire in the circuitry. They can neither fix it or prevent it all they said was they can reduce the severity with toporol xl 50 bring it down from 220 an episode to 180 and believe me it truly is a cake walk ....but it also increased my heart skips from every so often to daily with no caffeine or stress, would check my pulse it would be 65 remember my resting normal was 75 to 90 sometimes 100. Just curious if I was the only cardiac freak out here with a overly excited ticker that trying its best to explode in overdrive.
