As a raging hypochondriac on all things, this really frightend me.

For the past year and a half, I have had on again/off again issues with my chest. I think I posted about this on the boards when I first logged on, but I don't recall getting any help with it.

From time to time, I will get a point where I experience what can only be called a slightly sore muscle in my left pectoral region. Even though it's not really sore, but more bothersome.

I will get spots all around my left pectoral region and even into my upper ribcage that can be sore to the touch in those single spots, and then be fine later only for some other portion to be sore.

Also, I will occassionally get small "pains" (again it's hard to call them pains when they don't hurt, just quick feelings that grab my attention) all over that same area that concerns me.

Here is the strange part. Today I had a couple of little pains in my left nipple which I thought was very veyr strange, but I am wondering if this could be almost a psychosematic effect due to a story I heard about my brother in law over the weekend.

Last week he had a sharp pain in his chest that he said ran from his nipple around to his back. He went to the doctor and had an EKG done, and they said that at some point in the past few years he has had a minor heart attack without knowing it.

Thus, after hearing that these little sore spots in my chest (particularly when I started feeling a slight pinching pain in my nipple...that sounds so weird...) it really worried me.

So, without much in the way of snickering due to the absurdity of a nipple twinge/pain giving me concern, can anyone tell me what might be causing these sore areas every few months on my left side and if it is something that I should be concerned about?
