If that is true, then why doesn't a giraffe faint?
I'm not convinced lower bp drop (although that is the general explanation) when carotid arteries constrict when one lowers their head and that lowers the blood pressure reaching the head. Raising the head dilate the carotid arteries raising the pressure. Doesn't work all the time to prevent fainting.
