Help needed - Heart Disorders Message Board

Hi!

I do not have a problem. This thread is for somebody I know and he has heart-disease. The reason why I'm posting this thread is because he actually has a chance to survive. All he need is an operation but doesn't have money for that. The operation cost him 40 000 euro and he can't afford it, actually nobody around him can't it either. I want to help him with money but I can't afford the hole price. So please can somebody help me to help him?

Hi, I would have thought in Sweden you had a decent health scheme, even for those who are not insured. In Australia we have both private and public (government). The government scheme has what is called is "safety-net" so that anyone in a life-threatening situation can get vital treatment. Of course it depends on how "life-threatening" is defined. A lot of ppl these days choose India or China for vital technical procedures, even transplants and bypasses. That can reduce the costs by 50% or more. What is wrong with the person? Beefsteak

The problem is that he doesn't live in Sweden, he lives in Kosovo which is giving him a hard time. Kosovo isn't an independent country yet so they can't move and I know that Kosovo hasn't health scheme. What Kosovo do for help this guy is nothing and thats why I want to help him getting his live back.
