My heart sometimes literally skips a beat or two.

I can feel it in my chest when it does it... and just a minute ago, it did it again, and again... and then again... it beats normally... then will just stop for a second, then beats onces harder, and then goes back to normal. Is the a normal thing? I mean, this rarely happens. Not a daily thing, maybe weekly. I am also 24 weeks pregnant... if that has anything to do with anything.

Everyone has normal changes in beats. Even skips. Mine did that as well, when I was pregnant. I asked a cardio doc about mine and they told me the same thing. The extra blood flow made it more noticable for me from being pregnant. I wouldn't be worried. You can mention it to your doctor just to be sure. =)

It's not uncommon nor is it dangerous.
Try some magnesium supplementation (at least 250 mg./day.) It often helps a lot to lessen or eliminate these "missed" beats.

If it's a recent development maybe it will stop once you deliver?

These skipped beats are extremely common and they aren't dangerous. Everyone gets them now and then. They are called PVCs, ectopic beats, or palpitations. Do a search on this board and you'll find that MANY people here report them.

Pregnancy and hormonal changes can increase the number of skipped beats that you feel.
