Question EKG inverted T waves

A couple of weeks ago I went to cardiologist had ekg, showed inverted waves,I had told them before they did the ekg that I had them, but when the PA came in he scared me to death telling me I had 2 Q waves in the beginning of the 3rd lead. he went on and on and then said what are you here for? I told him I had been dx with mvp about 4 yrs ago and wanted echo done since it had been awhile, I ask him what he meant about the Q waves and he said you may have had a heart attack but the good thing is that it was on 3rd lead got the echo done then seen the Doc he was more worried about the T waves than the other, although he was yawning the whole time he was talking to me thought maybe he wasn't getting enough oxygen.. He said my echo showed no mvp although a specialist in houston dx it told me to always carry copy of my ekg with me now I am really worried. can mvp just disappear didn't think so.going to have stress test next month but changing doctors first. thanks for listening

Coastgirl, I doubt a MVP can disappear, it may be insignificant, minor backflow and not any progression that would require treatment.

A wide QRS (>0.12 sec.) and an inverted T wave could be left bundle branch block. Do you have an arrythmia dx.?

Inverted T waves can be symbolic of coronary ischemia.

Almost all readings and interpretation requires support with other tests, clinical signs and symptoms.

Re: EKG inverted T waves

I used to have rapid HB and fluttering went to ER was admitted for 3 days, had the works still they didn't know what was going on then wore a monitor for a month. they put me on digoxin then took me off. finally decided to go to Houston thats when they dx me with mpv.was on 50mg atenolol they upped it to 100mg that stopped the rapid HB and fluttering. my doctor told me last year that every EKG they had ever done had inverted T waves and they weren't that concerned. this last EKG is what i am scared of because of the Q WAVE. I don't know how to read it and the PA said the good thing is that it is on the 3rd lead whatever that means.I have noticed a few flutters lately don't know if it's stress or what, guess I will find out when stress test is done.thank you for your help
