Trigeminy is arrhythmia (irregular heart rate) consisting of a sequence repetitiously of two normal beats and one premature beat.
The underlying cause can be an electrolyte imbalance, abnormal thyroid level, etc. Also, stimulants, coffee, alcohol, drugs, medication, diet, etc. can be the cause.
Treatment can be beta blocker medication, worst cause scenario can be a pacemaker implant. Many people go through life with millions of extra hearbeats without a problem...
