Cardiac Ablation in january

Hey there,
I am scheduled for a cardiac ablation in january and was wondering if any of you people out there have had one and what life was like afterwards.Life for me at the moment is awful.Feel generally unwell all the time ...bad palpations...rapid heart rate and just feel generally terrible. God help me if i ever go for a night out .It takes nearly a week to recover. I am 31 year old male who is a little overweight and who does smoke.
Any replies would be greatly appreciated
johnny

Re: Cardiac Ablation in january

Hi Johnny- I am a 25 year old female and I had an ablation August 06. After ablation I was down for a couple days...but I had the procedure on a Thursday and was back in at work on Monday. They say it takes 3 months for your heart to heal, and you will continue to get palps and stuff along those lines, but I think you will feel better once it is over. Mine was not 100% effective, but it did help.

Good luck!

Cigarette Smoke contains many different metals and harmful chemicals, some of which can wreck havoc on one's nervous system, causing all kinds of heart rhythm and health problems.

It's a shame that the harmful metals and chemicals can't be removed, from the cigarettes, so people could enjoy the smoking without the health risks and damage caused by the numerous metals and chemicals.

Have you researched the ablation success rate for smokers?

Good luck with your ablation. Best of luck and health to you!
