Bruce Protocol - understanding results?
Just wondered if anyone out there can assist me or advise any good Cardio discussion forums which may help?
Just had the 'Bruce protocol' exercise ECG and have a lovely big report with lots of graphs and some data. I've not got a heart problem - just wanted to have a check up as I take part in a fairly heavy aerobic class (spin) 4 times a week.
The doc said everything looks 'good' - but I'm wondering what 'good' means?
If anyone can comment, here are what appear to be the 'key' statistics from the report (I'm a 47 year old male):
1. Max METS: 15.9 (reached in Stage 5)
2. Max HR: 164 bpm (94% of max)
3. Last Blood Pressure reading was taken in Stage 4: 210 / 90
4. Last RPP reading was taken in Stage 4: 328
