Here is what's new. I was at school picking her yesterday, she had to leave early because she is having episodes of difficulty breathing now, and when I returned home there was a message to call the ep's nurse. She said that they wanted to set her up to put in the defibrillator on Wednesday. I asked her about the ablation briefly, because she is not the doctor, but she said as she understands it, since my daughter's is severe and she has had episodes of passing out from having a string of these, she is at a higher risk of dying from having a longer string of them and that they feel this is the safer way to go.
She will be in ICU for 24-36 hours after to make sure everything is ok. The doctor or the nurse again is supposed to call me closer to the time, so I will ask again. I kinda feel better about going this route because there was another girl in town that had the ablation shortly before school started in the fall and she died at school the 3rd day back, from a blood clot. I know that that won't necessarily happen to my daughter, and could possibly still happen to my daughter, but it's just one of those things that is in the back of my mind.
