Hi,

I have had palpitations on and off for about 5 years. With these palps and sometimes without I been noticing that occasionally I get short of breath (it feels like I just can't get enough air sometimes). This can happen when I get my strong heartbeats (due to the heartbeat or due to me being anxious?), but I've also noticed that this (SOB) can happen even when my heart appears to be fine. Now I am wondering whether my SOB is being caused by something other than the heart. The worse times for me are when I lay down in bed (is it because I am more aware of it then, or is somthing else going on).

Has anyone ever experienced this before????

Hi,

i have the same thing and once i was diagnosed with afib.Ihad a stress test and invasive test that shows my heart is ok,but doc put me on beta blockers.Iwas searching answers about my symptoms and found out panic attack have same symptoms.I found a homeopath he set me up on a remedy and i started to walk about an hour every day, both of these solutions really really worked to improve my condition.

I'll let you know if I find any other solutions to this problem.

If the the strong beats are intermittant, you could be having PVC's. I was told that I have them. I felt like my heart would skip a beat and then have a really hard beat. What is really happening is that the heart is having an early beat, a preventricular contraction.
