PVC's and Shortness of Breath - Heart Disorders Message Board

As a result of wearing an event monitor, I was diagnosed by my cardiologist as having PVC's. Sometimes the feeling I get is exactly the way its described by most PVC sufferers, a feeling of a "stopped" heartbeat followed by a strong heartbeat. When this occurs, I ususally "gasp for air" for a short period of time.

I also, however, get shortness of breath when I don't feel any PVC's. This feeling is just that I am not getting enough air to breath. This feeling can last for several hours as well.

I was wondering if this feeling is due to the PVC, or something else? Can PVC (that you can't feel) actually last for hours and over periods of days withe the feeling of shortness of breath I have defined above?

I notice when my heart flutters of skips beats, it's when I'm already really tired or my period is on its way. But mine only last for 1-2 seconds then it goes away as if nothing happened. Somtimes it doesn't come back until the next month. But they are scary cause I also feel like I lost my breath. It just comes out of nowhere.
