Hi everyone,
I'm new to this Healthboards and would first like to say Hello. I'm a 29 year-old female, new to the Southeast area of the US. I am not even sure I'm in the right message board as I do not know what is wrong. I do have mitro-valve prolapse. I knew that at 13. I moved from the Midwest down here and have since had tremendous palpitations. Even at night when I'm sleeping, I would wake up feeling as though my heart were about to bounce right out of my chest! I've also had these other symptoms, which I have no idea if they are related or not...Joint pain, swelling, cramps in legs, toes and fingers, numbness in hands when sleeping, numbness in legs, feet or hands sometimes, burning sensation (not to the touch - inside the body) to my legs or arms when I get up from a sitting position or move my arm above my head. My Dr. took arthritis tests incld. Rheumatoid and they all came back normal. She then put me on water pills which have helped the swelling somewhat. Some days are better than others. It's definitely helped the joint pain on days. I just had an echocardiogram, came back with MVP but that was it and jusgt routine blood tests and urinalysis, which the only thing that came back abnormal was my AST which was 94 and the norm should be 40. All of these symptoms though are new and frustrating and scary for me. Any thoughts?
