Post headache/blood pressure/spicy food?

Hi all
Friday afternoon, after a stressful day with my pre-teen, I had a horrible headache - temple to temple and across both eyes. My supper that night was the Zatarains spicy chicken and rice. I took 2 tylenol and went to bed with the ice-cold gel eye covers. I dozed off and awoke with a fright, felt nauseaus, shaky and still had a headache. I took my bp and it was 154/90......I have never ever in my entire life had high bp, so this scared me. Does anyone have an explanation? could this be stress/headache/spicy food that could have caused this too happen. I am on medication for anxiety/panic but am dealing with this fine.
Hope someone can help.
Regards Helen
