Post Palpatations at night

I have some palpatations / racing heart when I lie down to go to sleep. Sometimes I wake up and it seems like my heart is going out of control or something -- the palps are really bad. During the day I have them, but it's definitely not as bad. Anyone with similar experiences? I was on atenolol, but that caused an allergic reaction! I've done enough research to scare me out of my mind. *L* I've heard that magnesium helps, also...

i get palps when i lay down as well. before i lay down to sleep, i have to sit up for a while because if i lay straight dwon my heart will flutter. i think maybe your more aware of your heart beating in the night because your more relaxed. sometimes though i cant even fall asleep cos my heart is thumping too hard.

magnesium is amazing for palps. i have just started taking it again after being off it a while and there a major improvement. give it a try and good luck!
