Hi,
I have been having the same problem. Chest pains that are constant. I have had many ekg's and a worn a holter monitor and it all turned out normal. I finally got my dr to refer me to a cardiologist, who I saw on Monday. He told me that he really didn't think my symptoms were caused by my heart. He said that if I had heart disease, the pain wouldn't be constant. Also, because I'm only 23 and don't have any risk factors. He thought my symptoms were more than likely caused by stress and anxiety. He wasn't even willing to do a stress test or echo.
I'm still not completly convinced. It's hard for me to believe that anxiety can cause chest pain that is 24/7, but I've had 2 dr.'s tell me it can.

You may have a condition called costochondritis. It is caused by inflammation in the cartilage of the rib cage. It can be caused by a virus or infection. It can become chronic. They usually prescribe anti-inflammatory meds for it. With the pain being 24/7 if it was your heart I think you would be dead by now. Not making light of a serious situation. If you feel tightness and shortness of breath or have unbearable chest pain don't hesistate to get to an emergency room.

Have you had a CT scan of your chest? You might ask your dr. about this. This is one of the tests they did on me when I first started having chest pain. This way they can rule out tumors or lung problems.
Do you have any shortness of breath with the pain?
